Notice of SmartCloud Service Discontinuance

(Changes to Terms of Use)

We regret to inform you that the SmartCloud service, a paid subscription for cloud storage of recorded events, will be permanently discontinued effective July 1, 2020, 12:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time).  Starting May 15, 2020, we will no longer accept new subscriptions. If you are a subscription-based customer, you may no longer renew your plan after June 1, 2020. You will no longer be able to upload or store new events, videos, or data into the SmartCloud server after your subscription permanently ends.

The firmware update for this change will be available at the end of June. We strongly recommend you back up or secure your recordings or data beforehand, as the videos will no longer upload to the cloud after the firmware and SmartCam + app are updated.

Although the cloud service will no longer be available, you can still record your videos onto a microSD card. For D1 doorbell users, you have the option to upload to your Google Drive account.
