Cloud DVR (continuous cloud recording) sends a constant stream of HD video to the cloud, so it uses your network bandwidth. The more cameras that have Cloud DVR turned on, the more bandwidth you will use.
If you want to reduce bandwidth consumption, turn Cloud DVR off for one or more cameras.
IMPORTANT: SmartCloud knows when something important is happening. Even when Cloud DVR is turned off, as long as Smart Monitoring is enabled, SmartCloud will still monitor for and record activity in your SmartCloud Zones, as well as General Motion, Scene Changes and sounds. (These analytics must be turned on.)
At any time, you can easily turn Cloud DVR on again by going to an individual camera’s settings , scrolling down to Cloud DVR, and turning it on.
