How do I change my password?

To change your password, you need to access your Account settings.


From your mobile app:

 

  • Tap the Main Menu button (top left)
  • Tap “Account”
  • Tap “Password”
  • Type in your current password (the one you want to change)
  • Type in the new password you want
  • Type the new password in again in the Confirm Password field

 

    

 


From your computer:

 

  • Log in to your account
  • Click the drop-down menu at the top right of the dashboard

  

                            

 

  • Click “Account Settings”
  • Click “Password”
  • Type in your current password (the one you want to change)
  • Type in the new password you want
  • Type the new password in again in the Confirm Password field
  • Click “Change Password”

 

IMPORTANT: Password Requirements


We are very concerned that your camera(s) be as secure as possible. For optimal security, SmartCloud requires that you create a strong password.
As you are creating your new password, you will see a dialogue box that shows you the rules for password creation and tells you whether your password is strong enough.

 

          

 

When your password meets all of these criteria, you will see a check mark beside each rule in the dialog box, and SmartCloud will approve it. It’s good practice to write the password down and keep it safe, but if you forget it, you can always recover it. See “I forgot my password.”
